Two inspiring symphonies from 1788, a centenary and a new work are celebrated in tonight’s uplifting programme.

The WELSH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA was founded in 1986 and has performed in all the major venues throughout Wales as well as touring in Germany, Belgium, and France. Under its Artistic Director and Conductor Anthony Hose, the orchestra has recorded many programmes for S4C and HTV and has released CDs of music by William Mathias and Alun Hoddinott. It is the resident chamber orchestra at the Beaumaris Festival in Anglesey.

Cafodd y GERDDORFA SIAMBR GYMREIG ei ffurfio ym 1986 ac mae wedi perfformio ym mhob neuadd fawreddog yng Nghymru yn ogystal â theithio trwy’r Almaen, Gwlad Belg, a Ffrainc. O dan arweiniad ei Chyfarwyddwr Artistig a’i Phrif Arweinydd, Anthony Hose, mae’r gerddorfa wedi recordio nifer o raglenni ar gyfer S4C a HTV ac wedi cyhoeddi CDiau o gerddoriaeth gan Wiliam Mathias ac Alun Hoddinott. Hon yw cerddorfa siambr gartref Gŵyl Beaumaris ar Ynys Môn.
